Interim Research Analysts for leading industry body
An industry can only flourish if it has got the right skills in place to grow. With that in mind, Skillsmart Retail, the Sector Skills Council, is responsible for skills development and promotion within the retail industry. Skillsmart Retail asked FreshMinds to find them a commercially-minded interim Research Analyst who would be capable of supporting them in their work to be the authority on the sector’s skills requirements and a source of definitive research reports on the issues affecting the industry.
We worked with Skillsmart Retail to understand their short and longer term resourcing needs. In order to meet their short-term requirement, we provided two interim Research Analysts within days. Our business analysts got to work straight away using a variety of skills including presentation design, secondary research and advanced data analysis using Excel. In the meantime, FreshMinds set about finding a more long-term solution and successfully identified a Mind to join Skillsmart as a business analyst for six months. Our Research Analysts rapidly became key members of Skillsmart Retail’s team by helping with a variety of research assignments requiring advanced data analysis skills. Next time Skillset Retail need “more hands on deck”, they know where to come.
Interim support for fast-growing company
Every business wants to grow; Intelligent Engineering was doing just that. In fact they were growing so quickly that they needed more hands on deck at short notice. So they asked FreshMinds to provide them with an Analyst on an interim basis to support this growth.
We found them two Analysts with a background in engineering who would help the company support even greater growth in the next six months. One of our Minds made such an impact that at the end of the six month placement Intelligent Engineering made him a permanent member of the team. A few months later, the company was growing again and asked us to provide another superstar Mind for a six month contract. Once again, FreshMinds came up with the goods and sourced a Business Analyst to provide business development support, research into new markets and competitive intelligence. And finding that they had a longer term need for talented Business Analysts, Intelligent Engineering subsequently asked us to recruit another Business Analyst for a permanent role.
